Add APIStack to Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor and VS Code

Coding assistants are better with real tools: validating test data, checking a domain's DNS or SSL, converting formats or doing date math without guessing. APIStack is a remote MCP server, so there's nothing to install; add the URL and your API key.

Give your AI agent 100+ tools with one MCP URL

Connect APIStack to Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code or your own agent, with a real agent run.

Set it up

Create a free APIStack account and set your key as APISTACK_API_KEY.

claude mcp add --transport http apistack https://apistack.online/api/mcp/connect \
  --header "x-api-key: YOUR_API_KEY"

Check it works

Ask the assistant: "Use APIStack to check when the SSL certificate for github.com expires." It should call search_apis, then call_api, and answer with the real expiry date.

Keep the key out of git

Project-level config files (.vscode/mcp.json, .cursor/mcp.json in a repo) are often committed. Put the key in your user-level config, or use your editor's input/env variable support, rather than committing it.
