The VAT and IBAN Validation API covers the identifiers B2B checkouts and payouts depend on. /vat cleans the input, checks the format for all 27 EU countries and Northern Ireland (XI), then asks the European Commission's VIES service whether the number is registered, returning the company name and address where the country publishes them. Results are valid, invalid or unavailable (a national service down or busy; never reported as invalid), with the check time for your records. /iban validates checksum, length and country format for 124 countries and extracts the bank code, branch code and account number where defined. /bic validates BIC/SWIFT codes. The main endpoint checks any combination in one call. UK (GB) VAT numbers are format-checked only.
